Daisy's incredible parcels

So when we went to Keetmans this Friday we were met by an incredible surprise at the post office. A primary school in Daisy's village had sent her two parcels a few weeks ago and they had finally arrived! They were really heavy but sadly our curiosity had to wait until we got back home.

Once we had finally managed to get them open (there was a LOT of duct tape!!) it was like discovering a modern day treasure chest! There were sheets and sheets of stickers, a ridiculous number of rulers, pens, drawing pencils, an unbelievable number of colouring pencils, pencil sharpeners,  scissors, rubbers, white and coloured chalk, a drawing pad, tissue paper, and real books!

A box of goddies :D
There was even a note from the head-master on the inside of the box, and a letter from one of the pupils from the English school inside. In a way this is perfect timing since this week in school we've been celebrating 'Internation Education Week' with our children (technically a week early due to the fact that our kids start their exams next week) and have been getting them to write letters and draw pictures so that we can set up a pen friend system with both the school that send Daisy the supplies and my old school.

It's amazing how here the parcels that make the two of us the happiest are the ones that include school supplies. And to make it even better? The headmaster has said that he'll be sending two more parcels next month! The generosity of some people is truly astounding.
A letter from England!
