Those who know me will agree that I have my fair share of stupid moments. This has not changed since coming out to Namibia.
For example, one evening I was taking some photos of a beautiful sunset. I was playing around with my camera and for the first time I found the button for the timer. So Daisy and I decided to take a couple of photos in front of the sunset.
First we stood and jokingly tried to do a peace sign. Except we didn't do them far enough away from our bodies which means you can't see them. Then we tried to make a heart......it didn't work. We tried again.........it still didn't work. Daisy suggested we try to do a cool shape 'like a swan!!!' but I pointed out that since we couldn't even work out how to do a heart properly, the chances of us being able to create a swan were pretty thin! But we are determined to practice, and who knows, one day we might be able to work it out!
lovely idea - keep practising! I'm glad the camera is proving useful

Does the school have a half term? Can you go on a trip to Luderitz on the coast to see the other Project Trust volunteers? Is there a bus? Or perhaps a train somewhere.
ReplyDeleteNo half term sadly, but we're going there at Christmas :)
DeleteGosh no half term! Looking ahead to the hols you will need to book some flights. Remember to enquire about a South african visa. Other thoughts:-
ReplyDelete1. Apparently you can take a train and bus to Cape town. The train stops at Keetmanshoop. Then a bus to Kimberley in SA with a change at Upington. Then a train to Cape town. The scenary is meant to be fab. See a wesite called 'The man in seat 61'. It would be an adventure. You can get a sleeper bed.
2. You can also get to Livingstone in zambia by a bus from Winhook. Once again if you go into Zambia or Botswana you need a visa.
