For the last few weeks of the school term I got my kids to write letters to their penfriends in England. This turned out to be slightly more difficult than I had anticipated. Although my learners can comprehend the concept of writing letters (at least......most of them) they didn't quite seem to understand the idea of 'penfriends'.

But oh well, my kids had fun and it kept them busy. And I was able to send some big parcels full of letters home to England so some of them were doing it right :) Some of the learners that finished their letters and drawings were children that found school work really challenging, and so finishing it was truly a really big achievement for them.

My children wont get any praise or recognition from the school, but at least I can do it on here. The following are all of my learners who wrote letters and drew pictures for their English friends.
